Oakland Art Murmur
Oakland Art Murmur (OAM) began organizing the free, monthly art walk. known as The Art Murmur, in 2006. CBB is a proud supporter of OAM – an organization of over 50 galleries that produces weekly art walks, guided tours and other exclusive events. Join a free evening art walk on the first Friday of every month.
Visitors joined local shops, artists, musicians, restaurants and community leaders came together to celebrate summer around Lake Merritt in a vibrant free event supported by Community Bank of the Bay. CBB is proud to be a presenting sponsor of this free event featuring food booths, beer garden, artisans, and a kid’s tech zone featuring The Hidden Genius Project.
CBB Lights the way for Vibrant Business Districts
The Temescal Telegraph Business Improvement District in Oakland used a loan from CBB to install pedestrian street lights. In September 2017 we sponsored Temescal Street Flicks – a free outdoor free film series in the new and improved Temescal District. Watch Our Video.

Community Bank of the Bay Earns a Record $4.07 Million for 2019; Loans Grow 27% and Deposits Increase 22% Year-Over-Year
OAKLAND, CA – February 3, 2020 — Community Bank of the Bay (OTCPink: CBYAA), a San Francisco Bay Area commercial bank with full-service offices in Oakland, Danville and San Mateo, today reported that net income available to common shareholders increased 47.8% to a record $4.07 million for the year 2019, compared to $2.76 million in 2018. Net income available to shareholders for the quarter ending September 30, 2019 totaled $1,298 thousand, an increase of $368 thousand from the prior quarter, and an increase of $793 thousand from the same quarter a year ago.Read the Press Release
Community Bank of the Bay Announces 2019 Second-Quarter Results 74% Increase in Earnings Driven by Growth and Margin Improvement
Net income available to common stockholders for the quarter ending June 30, 2019 totaled $930 thousand, an increase of $148 thousand from the prior quarter, and an decrease of $48 thousand from the same quarter a year ago when earnings were augmented by a $233 thousand Bank Enterprise Award and $446 thousand from the gain on sale of SBA Loans. Community Bank of the Bay Announces 2019 First-Quarter Results 54% Increase in Earnings Driven by Growth and Margin Improvement and the nomination of Patricia M. Remch to the Bank’s Board
Net income for the quarter ending March 31, 2019 totaled $782 thousand, an increase of $18 thousand from the prior quarter when earnings were augmented by a $239 thousand Bank Enterprise Award, and an increase of $274 thousand, or 54 percent, from the same quarter a year ago. Read the Press Release
Announcing Second Quarter Results for 2018 William S. Keller, President, and Chief Executive Officer said, “The Bank recorded another exceptional quarter of quality deposit and loan growth. Since raising $12 million of new capital in March 2017 we have grown the bank by almost $100 million. In February 2018, CBB announced earnings for the fourth quarter of 2017 – proudly reporting $34 million more loans than the average for the rest of 2017. For those who noticed that our net profit was $48,000, compared with $565,000 in the previous quarter, this was a one-time event linked to a recently enacted tax law change that required us to list all deferred tax assets.
